These photos were captured at the London Fog, a 1960s nightclub located at 8919 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.

UCLA classmate Nettie Peña photographed the band during their first shows for a student film project. These images are part of her work.

Did you know that the gritty bassline on "Roadhous Did you know that the gritty bassline on "Roadhouse Blues" wasn't played by a session regular, but by Blues legend Lonnie Mack?

At the time of the MORRISON HOTEL sessions, Mack had actually quit the music industry to sell Bibles. He was recruited by the band to provide that signature "chugging" rhythm. The session was so high-energy that it reportedly inspired Mack to come out of retirement and jump back into his own music career.
