Mizscarlett,  I wish I had more time to dedicate my thoughts to this board but my work schedule isn't so flexible.  And when time does permit I enjoy participating and reading some good posts that may enhance more interesting discussions plus give more insight.   I know that you of the many people here can certainly appreciate that.    Well,  this post has pulled me in and yes, Jim had the best sense of humor of anyone I have ever known and even to this day.   You know my story from Kerry's website and he was completely amused with situations, people, stories and he was always the one in the room laughing the loudest at whatever he found funny.    I was teased by him constantly and he could embarrass me with just a glance.  Being a young college girl I got the full brunt of his clowning.  His humor is still with me today. You know how lighthearted and down to earth he was...he LOVED laughing and his very presence would lighten up the room.    His comic wit along with his ability to enjoy the absurd let me see much more in whatever it was that  caught his fancy.   I don't even know where to begin with a description of him...he possessed it all with his talent,  curiosity,  brilliance,  sense of humor,  charm, uncanny perception,  receptive and inquisitive nature,  sharp as a razor lightning quick mind and ability to quickly size up a situation.    I still think about the things he knew and understood and it fills me with wonder even after all these years. How in the world could anyone possess that uncanny wisdom at such a young age?    In his own way he was like an old sage greatly  amused with human follies plus his own.

I was a kid and he was like an older brother who loved to tease me.  I'd say he was one of the most cheerful,  funny  and upbeat people I have ever known that's for sure.  So much for the brooding dark image.

Thank you for your insights into Jim's true personality, much appreciated. I had a giggle at the part where he could make you embarrassed with just a glance.

Imma let you two carry on now...  ;)

big sky country...could only be Texas... so, you, a lone female hung out
in backstage with them???And Pam, she's untouchable, he loved her.Did she really throw his books out the window and the turkey at Thanksgiving *huh, oliver stone, drama queen?*

I get the impression that this poster was merely having a laugh at the stupid movie. Well it wasn't stupid, it was pretty brilliant cinematically IMO, but the script was stupid.
