Did someone on this thread already quote Robby's sweet recollections of Ray as a "late-blooming" weirdo? I start getting weepy again when I read through the posts here.

I only got to see Ray & Robby play once, but is was wonderful. Ray - resplendent in his glitter keyboard socks - was the life of the party.

Oh, that's beautiful.

This is just shocking to me, didn't even know he was ill. Ray was so feisty and full of life, I thought he'd live to a very august age & be an elder statesman of rock. At least we can celebrate his gift of music (and gab!) and that he lived a happy life where he got to achieve his dreams. Peace and love to Dorothy, Pablo and grandbabies.

Oh, LL Cool J was on the Piers Morgan show along with Eddie Van Halen (who's looking and sounding much better these days, seems like he's got his demons in check). They've done a recording together.
