Who's to blame?

It's called jim's height and it's from 'way back in 2007. The final "growth spurt" apparently took place between October 1970--when Salli bet him $10 that he was already six feet tall and lost the bet by a mere fraction of an inch; and February or March of '71 when I estimated his height at 6'1" because a man I was involved with back in Illinois was 6'1" and Jim appeared to be the same. Jim agreed with my estimation, by the way. Said he knew he'd grown because he'd just recently had to buy all new pants (meaning his black Landlubber jeans, I assumed).
After his death, French officials measured his body--in meters and centimeters, of course--that converted to 6'1" on all three conversion sites I used.

irrespective of what i think happened all those years ago, it's still interesting to see what other people think. maybe some people's opinions are out there, but no one has the right to be disrespectful of someone else. this is one part of this board that i just do not get.
i also think that you are absolutely right about "everyone" having some blame in jim's demise. as glamourous as the music industry seems, there must be tremendous pressure on artists. and, it the 60s things were changing so rapidly...i wonder if that made things worse?
This is a Message Board....it was designed for conversations and I agreee with jlo, everyone has a right to their own expressed opinion. That is how we learn from each other.
Now about Jim and his death. After living this long and seeing a more spacious opening to life, I also believe that Jim had a destiny, in fact I know it because he told me he was going to die young. The other events around him may have hasten death itself. But he KNEW (what a weight to carry) he wouldn't make it to 30. He had a vision of dying in water. I now believe we all have our own destiny.
I was sitting in a classroom in college early in the morning at Golden West in Huntington Beach, CA before anyone else arrived. I was sitting very still and I had a vision of living to be OLD. I was 20 and old was over 40-50 to me at that time. But I could see I would live well over 40 and 50. It was more like my mother's mother who lived to be 93 years old. And her mind was very sharp and active even until her death. So I guess I will be holding out if air pollution doesn't strike first. I told Jim about this vision and that is when he told me of his own vision.
I would love to hear other people's stories...we all have a voice inside talking to us, mine was in the form of a vision which I have had my entire life now.
Jim was at least 6'1" tall.

It happens, but he is not forgotten. I have always been more of a fan of Jim Morrison, and I assume most people are.
And the end is always near.
