Jim Morrison & The Doors: An Unauthorized Book by Mike Jahn [Grosset & Dunlap, 1969]; this is the FIRST book ever written about the band. Jahn offers a unique perspective in that the story essentially is his first-hand account of The Doors legendary March 1968 Fillmore East concerts. Many believe the band reached its zenith during the Fillmore East shows.
NOTE: the magazines and book were not part of my hands-on BTE research materials, as they’ve been in a climate-controlled storage unit. However, given their age they are not in “mint” condition, but all pages are present.
Cheers!!!! And THANK YOU for supporting the BTE Kickstarter campaign!!!
