Thanks for the update Jeff. Sound quality is a Doors thing and has always been excellent on their records > compare Doors productions to Jimi Hendrix' Electric Ladyland and the enamel bursts of your teeth on the latter. But ... but ... but ... i / we am / are soooooooooooo interested in 'new old' stuff: Like London Fog! And it wasn't me who brought it up ...

i cant wait! oh wait i did wait about 30 years ago and i now have two companion soundtrack album to the Hollywood Bowl film? can't wait for the third or is it the forth because i have the live in nyc 70 shows now? i'm confused?

the year of the doors! 5 new songs! rock on jeff and enjoy the lady gaga tour. when you get back updates on the new greatest hits album and remastered version of that? it would be great to see the mix order this time.

in fact is the 2nd time that we'll get the Hollywood Stuff. the 1st time was in 1987 with the Laser Disc and The Vinyl and the Cd, then came the VHS, the cassette, the dvd, the doors collectiors edition adn 25 years later we will get a correct version of the Hollywood Bowl and i consider it as a must with a full cd companion, not the 17 minutes we got in the past

  see above "No need to be unkind, is there? " Yes there is same concert rehashed like the greatest hits for what? part of a song and hello i love you? removal of parts because its a 70 show? No kind words for the year of the doors because they have run into the digital age! the days of making money off cd's and vinyl are over. the second this comes out digital it will be like driving a new car off the lot.

Now i will buy anything doors but not if i own.

i just finished to listen Live in Vancouver, and i wonder why not release Seattle and Bakersfield right now? i mean while we are waiting for the hush hush collectible, the l.a.woman outtakes, matrix, london fog, fillmore and the hollywood bowl of course

Yes, anything at this point in this tumbleweed laden "Year of The Doors." To cut costs, Seattle and Bakersfield could be released as downloads if they're not willing to release them on CD.

why downloads? only kids and newbies like downloads, and there is a good catalog for downloaders

I agree.  Release Seattle and Bakersfield together on CD if need be.  If they release those shows the same way as Vancouver (no liner notes), so be it.

A lot of people, including some hardcore fans, are OK with downloads, and some prefer them, one of whom posts on The Freedom Man Forum from time to time. I prefer CDs, BUT I don't want the perfect to be the enemy of the good. I'd rather see the shows you mentioned released as downloads than to not be released at all. That's certainly a possibility for Seattle which is seen by many as an inferior performance. They certainly wouldn't be released on CD in the next couple of months while waiting for the Hollywood Bowl releases, probably the only releases we'll see this year. It's doubtful they would be released as downloads before the Hollywood Bowl releases, but they would certainly be released sooner rather than later as downloads. Long story short, I doubt that the shows you mentioned, especially Seattle, will ever be released on CD. So, why not release them as downloads. They would certainly be far superior to the bootlegs that you're used to.

I think they need to release something already. Ive said this in the past...just look at King Crimson's or the Grateful Dead's sites. Each is brimming with a multitude of releases at any given time. Crimson has tons of downloads to offer side by side with physical releases. Granted each of those bands has more material to work with but the Doors don't even explore their timelines after Jim. In addition to Morrison-era releases there could be live Butts Band shows (they were broadcast live from New York in '73, i believe) as well as Ray solo, his bands Pyramid, Nite City, OV and FC releases, post-Morrison Doors shows.... We were told once long ago there were 30 plus hours of live Doors in the vault. We have not seen that many hours released to date...
