Any news on what the next releases will be in the "Year of the Doors" 2011-2012 campaign?

Yes he did state that which means that in the next 6 months we can expect, LA Woman 3CD set, London Fog, Matrix Masters and Hollywood bowl. What a 6 months it is going to be!

You really think we're going to get 4 releases, one of which is a box set, another of which is a smaller box set, in the next 6 months? Not a chance. I think getting one of these would be good. I'm not hopeful of any more than that. The LA Woman set is probably not going to appear. Why not release it during the 40th anniversary stuff? They'll sell fewer if they wait a year. I'm also doubtful of the Matrix set happening any time soon. Clearly The Doors camp is not very keen on big boxes at this point.

Jeff already told us...LF, Matrix and HB were coming this year. Add in "hush hush" and that's makes 4. So yeah I do think we will see 4 releases this year. We'll see things can change. If you ask me I would say LAW set is coming but it will push back either Matrix (likely) or LF til early next year. All guesses here but we have to wait for Jeff to come on here and give us the scoop. I hope it's soon because let's face it time is running out.

Well, realistically, if something is announced within the next week, it would most likely mean a month's worth of marketing which would take us in to July for a release. After that, there's five months left in this year for whatever they have planned, so there will either be a flurry of releases in the last quarter of 2012 or the "Year of The Doors" might turn into "Decade of The Doors." I really hope London Fog and Matrix make it out this year as they seem to be the most intriguing of what has been discussed as potential releases as having the most appeal amongst the causal buyers and us "fanatics" here on the board, given the rarity and curiosity of those wanting to hear those unbridled early live performances that has not appeared through Bright Midnight and only on shit-quality bootlegs up to this point. The only other option I can see that might trump those, is something completely hush-hush, like a December 21, 2012 release of The Doors jamming in some old Mayan ruins, ala Pink Floyd in Pompeii, or more realistically, haha, a live soundboard that has been kept under wraps, or, the remastered Hollywood Bowl DVD/Blu-Ray that could potentially feature the original Hollywood Bowl release, as well as bonus features that might include alternate edits of all the performances if they have access to all of the footage shot from all of the cameras that were filming that night and re-edit the performances into a different viewing experience as a bonus, or, provide a bonus feature where the viewer could choose certain camera angles to view all, or some of the songs that were recorded that night on. Anyway, just my thoughts, hopefully we will hear something soon...

i'm pretty sure i've read on this forum before about the poor business sense it makes to release several different things around the same time. so, either this "Year of the Doors" is going to extend to "A Couple Years of the Doors" or we're not going to be getting some of this stuff the way we want it... i'm think LAW out-takes will end up being a digital release, but i do hope London Fog & Matrix take priority over the remastered Hollywood Bowl... just sayin'...

also wish Jeff would give us some nugget to chew on in the meantime...

Agree but perhaps Matrix is too much for this year.
The London Fog and the rest of LAW sessions should be given top priority.
HB'68? Interesting but it's sad again nothing new comes about Roundhouse '68. A restored, extended release of these english shows would be a killer release.
