I know it's safe to say we are all pretty gassed about the "Year of The Doors" in 2012. And it's amazing that this is even possible for a band that hasn't recorded in 40-years--as I can't even see The Beatles or The Stones pulling something off like this. But from what has been discussed, during the "Year of The Doors," we can expect the LA Woman releases, and most likely the London Fog as well as the complete Matrix recordings. And also, from what has been rumored on here, possibly a Hollywood Bowl and an Isle of Wight film release. But not to give Jeff anymore headaches, what else might we expect, or want, during the "Year of The Doors?"

I'd be MORE than happy with the above, but if it's going to be the "Year of The Doors," might as well go out full-tilt. The only thing that I can think that would really make this "their" year, with all of the above-mentioned, is for Jim's film HWY to be released. I think it's long overdue and I think it would give even the casual fan a different perspective on The Doors--even though Jim was the only one out of the four involved--and it also would cast Jim in a different light than the Oliver Stone-Jim. I can't speak for the man, but I'm sure he'd like his film "out there." Is there any way Jeff, that you can either confirm or deny if HWY is being discussed for release?

And how about everyone else? What else would you like to see released or happen during the "Year of The Doors?"

That archival stuff might be decent, but I'm really crossing my fingers that they'll put the archives on hold in order to release a greatest hits compilation.  It's hard to find Light My Fire and Break on Through on the same disc.

I disagree.  I think they should reissue the compilations they released in the past.  2nd and 3rd generation fans need to be reminded of when they became new Doors fans.

I'm still hoping (likely in vain) for the outtakes disc we discussed in '06 while perception was being finalized, containing anything left in the vaults from the other albums.
