OK, I was reading an article at the Johnny D board about Jim's visit to New York in 1967.
It described a bit of Jim's photo session for Vogue by photographer Alexis Waldeck--excuse
me, Baron Alexis Waldeck.  Numerous photos were taken for the session, yet I've
only ever seen one or two of them.  What happened to the rest?  Have any others been
published?  Anywhere?  Bueller?

Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to post Jim's Vogue photos for
your favorite little Jim fan: me.    :)

That one shot is the only one from the Waldeck session that's ever been published

Thanks, Pedro.  That's the one I've seen, but the article talks about all the accessories and stuff that Jim was fiddling with.  Carrie Donovan was there, too.  (She used to appear in Old Navy commercials in the US.)

I DID enjoy the now-retro fashions in that issue, so groovy!   B)

That magazine link was really interesting - gorgeous photos.

Has anyone heard the backstory on how Jim and Pam were photographed by Edmund Teske? He was very prestigious, and I've wondered how/why J + P got together with him for personal photographs. I'm assuming these photos weren't published at the time? Or maybe Teske was contracted to photograph Jim, and the shots with Pam were spontaneous.

Here they are.
When I met Hendrix we just talked about the weather. When I met Jim Morrison we sat around looking at girls’ legs and discussing who had the best ass.

Gorgeousness - I hadn't seen a few of those shots before, thank you. Sage Morrison makes an appearance too :)

I thought this part was interesting "At first, the photographer (Edmund Teske) was photographing Jim and his girlfriend Pam, at the singer's apartment nearby..." so there may be even more unreleased photos, from inside the Norton Ave apartment. Would love to see those.

There is a 5-page gallery of some of Teske's photos of Jim, Pam, Sage & The Doors on a web site dedicated to Teske's work: http://www.edmundtes..._the_Doors.html

The ones for the "13" cover are really striking!

*UPDATE: The very kind man who runs the Teske web site told me that only 2 photos were taken inside the apartment and they are both on page 5 of the Jim/Doors gallery - the ones with the white wall in the background. Unfortunately, there are no more unreleased photos from this group.
