Hi Jeff

A short yes/no question: Are the first two photos on the new LAW-DVD during SSSN from the Fog??? You know, the ones were the boys look damn young and are on a tiny stage, Ray has no bass etc.

Thanks!

Any chance of the London Fog gig being released on vinyl? I think that would be very cool and it would fit nicely being only 30 minutes or so.

I'd love it on vinyl too, as long as cd and digital are there as well.

Whoa!!!!   So that's what the Doors looked like at the London Fog!!  I've used my imagination to picture it for over 20 years and bam...big, bright, professional looking photos.  I'm completely blown away.  I can't believe Ray didn't have his piano bass by that time.  All the books point to him getting it in the fall of '65 before they started playing the Fog.  Maybe the books are wrong, or maybe it was broken that day or maybe...it isn't the Fog?    If the pics were taken the same day as the recording was made it will be interesting to hear what they sounded like without bass and if they did anything different to compensate.

Looks like the Fog to me!

The only way that this could be a stand alone is a download. An EP is just too expensive with packaging.  Combined makes sense economically - It will give those who purchased the former Matrix a reason to but the new improved version - Please don't get me wrong - I really enjoyed the L.A. Woman release, but have you read the reviews?

No way Jose!

Sorry but I disagree, this is too much of a special find to not be stand alone and to not be issued on physical media. The Matrix makes no sense to be put with this release. If the recording was mad the same day as the photos then Ray doesn't even have his bass. Two different worlds. Packing it with something else makes more sense, but I still believe stand alone is best. (Which is why I won't suggest what would work well with it.)

Will we get to see the cover art or hear any snippets before it is released?

I'm surprised a still/screen cap of the London Fog pics haven't surfaced on here yet--haven't been able to pick up the DVD yet and wouldn't mind checking them out. Also, it'll be interesting to hear how they sound without Ray using the bass; glad I was finally able to hear the LAW outtakes but now my enthusiasm is shifting toward The Fog. So is it safe to say it'll be out next month Jeff? Or possibly by my birthday in April? Haha...

I don't recall any other live recording of the Doors with Jim Morrison playing Strange Days.  Is that accurate?

Yes, I think you're right. This is the only documented live recording.

Prelims are cooling down. We would love to be teased again.
One more photo, a sound sample, a release date?

Nice pic. You have a way with images. Yes, a little teaser from management would be nice.
