I'm a retro, analogue guy so I'm buying the vinyl and the 5 CD set (which I pre-ordered). I'm happy to see there's a medium for every taste; everyone wins.

Absolutely agreed. Some projects have been delayed for years now. (Matrix 2cd was first issued back in...2008!)
It´s time to get the real stuff NOW. I wonder why some projects were quite quickly executed, Pitts, Vancouver for example, and others just take hundreds of times longer than those. Come on, how long could remastering 30 min of London Fog music could take by some expert as Botnick? Pleaaaaase....
Bring back the Q&A thread!

While I appreciate your rant, I think the phrase, "that 'year of the Doors' sticker scheme" is a little trivializing and disrespectful. We work really hard at this, and I know how easy it is to be an "armchair quarterback" and second-guess everything from your "on-high" position of judgment, critique and experience. Just don't buy it if you're not into it, but please try to show at least a tad of understanding and (is this asking way too much?) just a modicum of respect for the hard work that The Doors, Rhino, my team, and I DO do. In between our screwups, of course.

YES! YES AND....YES!

This is the way the manager of The Doors should be!

Right on!

I like the rest of you would love to see this stuff come out sooner than later but as Jeff has stated numerous times there are lots of business hurdles that need to be jumped before that can happen. I've been really happy with all of the rare material that's come our way since Bright Midnight launched and from the sounds of things there will be lots more for us to enjoy....in the meantime we need to all be patient and thankful this stuff is even being released. From the info provided so far it sounds like the LAW boxset is going to be a mindblower....I want it to be right and the more time they have to tweak it to perfection the better.

Thanks for the info Jeff,

And I can confirm I am a gentleman (tho not often described that way  :P )!

But really, if the apps are holding back the physical release of this material i'd rather give it a miss thanks, no matter how delightful it may be. From my experience with apps, they never work as well or as quickly as promised, people rarely use and interact with them as often as the maker would hope. I can't see what Doors material you can deliver via an app that we won't already have in some shape or form?

I'm all for bringing the Doors up to date, just not at the expense of getting new releases out there. Absolutely no disrespect intended, I just wonder if anyone else feels the same?

App has zero to do with it. Apple & oranges.

Cool. It's a beautiful poster. I'm glad that it's being made available in that large size.

I'd love to buy the singles box but, after trying to checkout at the Doors store I found that it's an additional $10.17 for shipping plus $4 and change for tax. I risk divorce if I charge yet another music related thing (plus, $14 more dollars above the $49.98 price tag seems a bit much). I suppose I'll have to just be happy I pre-ordered the 5 CD set already. I can't wait for that! It would be awesome if Bill Me Later was an option as an alternative to credit cards at the Doors store. A few online music stores have it as a payment option.

I totally agree with this. I paid it but asking additional 20% for shipping is downright ridiculous period. It's bordering on Scam City. I know this is not a Doors issue since they can only do so much, I understand that but somebody who makes these decisions may need a sit down.

Sidebar: Is there ANY shot Jeff of seeing what this box looks like???? I'd like to spread the word around for some friends who want to see it. Thank You.
