haha, no flashing bliss!!! definately not; just need a proper place to release my enthousiasm and excitement about this day!
I mean, when I saw my girlfriend today she told me a friend of hers and she had laughed and made fun of me when I texted her about the happening at Pere Lachaise because they considered it silly to sing and clap on a graveyard for a dead guy    <_<

......you should be jealous, though :P  ;)

Pere Lachaise really cleaned up the graffiti problem, thank God. It was terrible for so many years.

Did any of our SoCal forum members go to this event in Huntington Beach? http://www.therareon...d-roll-emporium

I'm curious what they mean by "the unveiling of Moonlight Drive lyrics"; I wonder if they actually have Jim's handwritten lyrics? Quite impressive if so. EDIT: It is so: http://www.therockan...ductCode=LCDMLD

The New York Daily News ran a piece on JM on 7/3; is this bit accurate - both Ronay & Varda believe heroin was the causative factor in Jim's death? I thought Varda's comments were vague and inconclusive, but that could have been because my French is so inadequate.

"Twenty years after Morrison's death, friends Alain Ronay and Agnes Varda broke their silence and gave their account of what happened that day. The two admitted that when they arrived at Morrison's apartment, Courson told them that they had both taken heroin after a night of drinking, and Morrison began coughing so badly, he was vomiting blood. When he seemed better, she went to sleep. But when she awoke a short time later, she found him in the bath unresponsive and called for help."

swiftlymemora, I was there too and you are so right: the performance was outstanding and the whole atmosphere thrilling!!!! At some point I got the feeling I was 42 years back in time: I imagined that the Miami key Dinner concert should have been and felt like this ;-) over 40 degrees temperature, steaming people in the crowd, everybody was stoned and numerous people who tried to rush the stage and were throwned off by the security guards! I will never ever forget this day!
During five to one the whole crowd went insane!!!! I was in front of Ray, only a few metres away, what about you??

I was at the bar of course! About halfway through I went near the front in the middle. To be honest, people being dragged out of the mosh pit happens at most gigs. I don't know why the security ( the chap next to Ray is his brother) were hanging around the stage so much, they were making it look untidy!! It was as good as The Roundhouse on New Years Eve 2006 with Ian Astbury. Paris is Doors heaven, you could spend a whole week there!  Can't wait to see them again, I hope they do more shows.

That's funny! You mean the guy with the glasses and the bold head, who now and then helped Ty Dennis on drums ;-) is Ray's brother? I already told my friend it could be Ray's brother since they really had the same face! Is that Rick???!  B)
