Good to see BMA is still alive. Im glad for Vancouver....although I dont like that show, too slow and boring but thats my opinion.
I prefer Seattle 1970. Okay Jim wasnt to "happy" there, but he was still good, Someday Soon with his tired, drunk and uninspired voice...is THE BEST!
The musicians were at the top too! No need to say, Ray was the leader with his Gibson and Vox organ.. Break On through was awesome, and the long Train Jam also.
Seattle was more exciting... I wonder how long is the master Seattle tape! Yeah i know the tape runs out during Light my Fire but who cares..
Is that true The End was also played after LMF?

Overall, thanks to BMA for this new release!

All of this bickering about The Doors Live releases reminds me of a scene from Monty Python's Life of Brian...

BRIAN: Brothers! Brothers! We should be struggling together!

FRANCIS: We are! Ohh.

I've got from Music Today a few days ago the new release, Vancouver.
Of course as many collectors I had for more than ten years the bootlegs sourced from the stage recording known as a 2nd gen and the audience recording from this show.
The two suffered defaults and I tried about 2-3 years ago to do a matrix with the 2, applying some EQ's to try to make it sound better especially the organ on WTMO & LMTT.
And I felt the result was not too bad, so I bought this release as I do with each new one but I thought that will not give much more pleasure to listen.
I must say I had a very good surprise and think Bruce Botnick did one of his best job with this show. Of course I don't know how sounded the raw version of the master but the result with a 2 tracks souce is impressive.
I read in some places people saying there was no interest in buying this release, for me they are not honest, or have bad ears !
Once more big thanks and bravo Mr Botnick, apply the same treatement to Seattle and the magical Bakersfield and you'll make me happy.

I finally picked up this release this past week and have been listening to it in my car for several days now. Hey, I'm impressed with the job they've done with it. So many thanks to all involved for getting this out to us. Keep up the great work!

I appears that this book has an unheard story about the Doors in Vancouver.  Terry David Mulligan is the voice at the beginning and end of the Doors 1970 release(uncredited) and a local DJ/radio personality.  For the most part his stories are true so I'm curious how some Doors fans react to the story in the same way they reacted to the Burton Cummings Jim story.  This book just came out and I'll see if I can get a capture of the 1-2 pages of interest.
