I've read in a few books as well as some fans' recollections that the Doors had an orchestra with them at the '69 MSG concert. There are many pics of the Doors playing this show as well as amateur film yet I never see the orchestra. Were they hidden or in the dark or were they not there? I haven't listened to the audio bootleg of the show in a while but I don't recall hearing an orchestra. Come to think of it....wasn't there a brass section with them at the LA Forum a month earlier? The only time I've ever seen pics with them and brass / string section is on the Smother's Bros. show.

There's only one thing in the whole process that bothers me, and that is Danny Sugarman's book. If Jim Morrison were alive today, he'd be livid about that book. Not because of the truth it tells, but because of the lies it maintains. Like Sugarman's trying to keep going the myth that Jim might still be alive! That is pure, total, unmitigated bullshit. If Danny had sat there where your sitting and listened to Pam after she came back from Paris, he wouldn't be trying to perpetuate this myth - and that's what it is.
