Felt Forum Box Set

Rhino issued the complete 1969 Grateful Dead run at Fillmore West in a 10 CD box last year. It was transferred from the 16 track source tapes and 10000 units were printed. It sold out before it was printed and was only available via Internet purchasing.
Then Rhino followed up with a 3 CD comp targeted at casual fans via retail.
If future BMA releases are not yet set in stone, what are your thoughts on an 8 CD box set of the complete Felt Forum shows on the BMA label? This would satiate the hardcore fans, while casual fans could be serviced with a 2CD comp in retail outlets?
Without question, Felt Forum offers the best of the remaining AL live shows. Small 4000 seat venue provides intimate sound, and the band was very focused. I know you are taking a breather right now after the book and box set, but what are your thoughts on such a box for a future BMA release?

1/17/70 (late)-60 minutes=1cd
1/18/70 (early)-70 minutes=1cd
1/18/70 (late) -100 minutes=2cds
if 1/17/70 (early) is 2cds that's only 6 cds.

You're talkign about the audience recordings which miss some content. The 17th early show is the shortest and might fit on one cd but the rest of the shows must be 2 cd's each.
So 7-8 cd's is what it'll take for a box set.

Of course, anything can happen, but I think this will proceed as planned.

FREE THE BOSTON LATE SHOW!
But I would be much happier with this box set. New York sucks as we all know but this run of shows has some awesome songs, great feedback with the crowd and the band is on top of its game almost every night. I can not wait till this comes out as it might be the only release that could outshine Detroit?
Jeff when can we pre-order this; today or tomorrow? Does it come with extras like free candy and movie tickets? Can we pick the color of the box? Are they going to be hand numbered with real gold taken from your personal coin collection or are you just going to hand sign the first 10000 copies?
One day free the Boston late show!

Great news Jeff. Looking forward to this.
Just, please, let someone from Doors camp make sure we get the complete, uncut thing since Felt Forum shows were butchered for many different releases in last 35 years. Let's try and prevent "House Announcer/Philly" effect happening for these great shows.
Thanks.

Yeah, listening to WTMO from Boston 70 late is a real treat.
BTW, I thought the Felt shows were pretty damn good, especially in the quality I heard. :peace:

Or in the Doors case we will be filled with nothing but hype and then never hear anything for a year or longer? come one folks get with it and if you are going to do the BMA label do it right. One CD a year is a wee little bit slow. I thought when BMA launched it was every 6 months something new would come out or was it 4 times a year? Or am I wrong on that?
To help speed things up I offer not one but 2 full blown recording studios to help out with clean up or anything I can do to make shows pop out faster. I would like nothing in return but 1 free copy of the show I would work on.
I bet if it comes out in 2007 it will be late 2007.
Can you answer me this? How many shows will we see in 2007?
P.S.
What ever happend to the downloading of shows in 20067?

Sorry for my ignorance, but was NY released? How have you heard it? Through videos?
