This has been bothering me. I keep thinking if Jim wouldn't have died and lived would he have made a great husband and father? What's you take? huh.gif

I would say it's really impossible to know.  Based on the alcoholism, drugs, and other wild behavior I'd tend to lean towards no.  But then again having children is known to change people and even calm down the wildest of the wild.  Plus he was a very passionate person, when he was interested in something he gave it his all, he very well may have completely dedicated himself to a child.  As far as strictly a husband, I have a feeling he'd have quite a problem with affairs, if this didn't bother his wife then sure he could have been a good husband, he'd have been an excellent provider that's for sure.

I'd have to say no, basically for the same reason Staple gave, the drugs and alcoholism wouldn't exactly make for the best role model father, not to mention if he continued with his music, he wouldn't be there constantly, off on tours and such.

And yeah, for the husband, the copius amounts of women would proably pose a problem.

I have a feeling that if Jim did get married and have a family he would stop with the drugs and the excessive drinking :peace:

I don't.  Maybe with age and drying out, he might have settled down.  On the other hand, there are just some people who aren't cut out for marriage and parenthood.  He could have been one of them.  We'll never know, though.

I personally think If jim had of lived eventually he would want to settle down its in all humans as we get older we grow up more our attitude changes you dont wanna go out clubbing all the time and stuff like that you become more chilled (saying this im only 25 )with jim he was a very clever man and I think he would eventually have come to is senses and realized there is more to life than what he was doing to him self. I think jim if got himself together he would make a great dad he could teach those kids wonderfull things could you imagine if jim was your grandad a wise old man telling you stories and teaching you things.yeah I belive anything is possible....

Not always. Some people are sure about some things, they simply know. Like I can take myself as an exemple I'm positive Ill never settle down, have kids, be married.

So I dont think all is predictable, of course it's possible that he would have but Jim was far from being predictable.
Also I do believe had he become a father, been clean and still alive he would have tried to be a good father, most people do try and I think without drugs and booze involved Jim would have to. Still I cant see Jim ever keeping it inside certain frames. He was too creative of a spirit to ever fit inside a structure.

My age is of no importance, one thing I do know is that some things humans dont change themselves for, humans dont always change, they rarely do change at all.

humans do change. not all but most do mature as they get older.

Iam asking your age because if your young you may not want to settle down now but in the future your mind "might" change.but if your over the hill and you still feel this way then it must be lonely?
