Wow. I must say I was caught off-gaurd by the boards being closed, but I understand why. 99% of the other members I've gotten to know on here give intellegent, thoughtfull opinions and input. I have learned quite a bit about the Doors that I didn't already know, and I'd just like to say to those 99% of members, keep up the good work, and let's keep the focus on the music and the legacy.
Cheers!
Yeah...but will be ever hear from Leon....Physic Linda.....and all the rest.

All deleted now.
So much insight, beauty, next time I expect a minimum two weeks notice in order to cut and copt some of these pieces of brilliance.
All the mini-essays by Mannassa Mauler.....all gone.
Biting wit displayed by Rey.....all gone
Zaval80's arguments.....all gone
I am deeply hurt.
It's the equivalent of burning down the Smithsonian - all treasures from times past reduced to ashes.

FamiliarFreak will most likely create a new topic dealing with any particular wants/desires concerning archived threads, and I am sure he'll see what he can do to get them back up for you guys at some point soon.

Nothing is "gone"......it's all archived, all saved, and if there is enough demand, we can start sifting through it and bringing some of it back out. No worries!

Thanks for clarifying this Jeff. Some members in the past have been gracious enough to share some rare photos, info, etc. The site has been a goldmine for Doors enthusiasts, despite the occasional wierd scene...

Zaval80's arguments.....all gone
Don't worry, I have the back-up of the "Best Of Zaval80"...as soon as PK bashing by the usual suspects starts anew, they'll be nailed to the mast again - with their own words, of course.

Hopefully this makeover will only help the Doors' fans in finding the answers they are looking for, and in appreciating The Doors' art.
And one more thing, if a separate registration were not required for The Severed Garden I think more people would join the discussion there, and that way The Lounge would be reserved for Doors discussion only.
So far so good, let's start anew!
Peace and love, Maja

Ha!
Our lone PK dissenter is hardly a danger to the boards.

I was caught off guard too. I agree that there are a lot of Doors fans on here that have made some real contributions to the board and I hope that they will continue doing so. I have learned a lot by being on here too and am proud to be a member of this number!
