Hello to everybody :bye:

Well, I'm not a newbie, but so what? laugh.gif

My name is Corinna, I'm 22 years old and I live in Mannheim (Germany). I'm a Doors-fan since 2004.
I love playing guitar. I own a Fender acoustic guitar and a Fender Stratocaster and I'm trying to improve my skills by listening to Robby's playing. Music is my Life!  I play the guitar for 12 years now......
But I'm not just listening to the Doors. I also love Deep Purple, The Who, Iron Butterfly, Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd.

I'm glad that I found this messageboard, because I met so many wonderful people here.   smile.gif

What else should I tell you about me?.....I'm crazy for my budgies. I've four of them. I had six, but two of them recently passed away

And I'm a (lazy) student laugh.gif

Hi All

I live in Brisbane Australia and became enamoured of the Doors approx 13yrs ago when my soulmate had a fascination with jim and his fav song was "Roadhouse Blues:, my man died 10 years ago and it wasn't until I started reading the many books about Jim that I realised that they had many shared qualities - dangerous but charming, very good-looking, no-one ever forgot even the briefest meeting with them thats how charasmatic they were, they both drank until oblivion but could still charm the pants off any female within range - (that drove me nuts) -  they were wild spirited and free but could sit down and discuss idealogy and philosophy for hours. It was very intriguing to me how the two men were so similar so I became more interested and started collecting books, dvds and albums of the Doors.
I've been reading this message board as a guest for many months and have enjoyed the lively debates but not the negativity. I congratulate the Doors for taking a stand and helping others understand what this forum is all about. Sharing our love, hopes and dreams of Jim and The Doors. I look forward to contributing in the future when work allows.

Howdy! I live in South Carolina and have been a Doors fan for about 15 years. I'm 29 y/o, married, and the mother of one lovely boy.
I especially like the song Take It As It Comes.
I'm currently reading No One Here Gets Out Alive. I'm already halfway through it in less than a week, which says a lot as I'm a slow reader.
I'm hoping to meet some other Doors' fans.

Hi all,

julie here from North east England and it's soo cold here! Loved the Doors for years & years but my family don't share the same enthusiasm as me so it will be nice to chat to Doors fans.

I love the Doors because when you hear them it really makes you feel wow, this is amazing & very different. To sum it up, it gives you a shiver down the spine! & no that's not the arctic weather up here!

I love most Doors songs but The End & back Door Man have to rank as my faves.

I wish everyone many hours of great listening...cheers,

julie xx

Hey all,

I'm new to this message board obviously. I am a 21 year old Purdue Senior in Sound Design from Indiana. I have been intrigued by and inspired by the music of the Doors for about 6 or 7 years now. I love the twist that Morrison had on the band but still love the band for more than Jim's off the wall style and mind seducing lyrics. The keyboard brought(still brings) a very gospal like mass to many of the songs and the guitar leads you through Jim's labrynth of lyrics. And the percussion provided the rythym to move us all through each piece of music. Love you guys and love your style. Never stop the good sounds.

Ok, one quick question. Is there any likeliness in seeing the Doors play with Scott Weiland? I have heard the one clip of Break on Through that he sang, and I thought it was amazing. I truely feel Scott is the(or at least one of the)greatest singers/lyricists of my generation(1990ish - today). It would be almost orgasmic to just hear the news that the Doors w/ Scott Weiland will be playing in Chicago (or anywhere in the midwest) in the next year or so. No pressure, just kick it around a bit.

Hi everybody, it good to see so many fans out there amongst the world of crap music we seem to live in these days. I'm from South Australia, I'm part of a two piece band and have loved The Doors since I started listening to my dad's records when I was about eight. I'm 23 now. The Doors have been a huge inspiration for the music we play, although we don't get to play together as much as we should, Dylza's always stoned and I'm often too drunk to play or sing. Anyone else out there in a band?

Hi!
I´m new here. English is not my first language but I hope is good enough to be able to share my love for The Doors with all of you, guys. Great to know that I´m not alone.
I´m 30.I listened to the Doors´music when I was 14 or so but I didn´t connect with it back then; it was kind of tiring, maybe because I didn´t understand the lyrics or because I didn´t understand life, as simple as that. But like one year ago, I listened to it again by chance and it just changed everything. I was so bored...
Nice to be here after weeks of just reading what you guys had to say.

Hey,

My name is Don Eminizer...Jim Morrison & the Doors were the first major literary influence in my life, that tied the natural thread between poetry, art, & rock to a definitive conclusion. Inspired by them I have become a published writer and poet myself, and am as devoted to the Doors now as I was at the age of 16.
I have a website... 99 Burning...That is completely inspired by Jim and many of his inspirations...Feel free to visit my online home any time...

My name's Marie.  I'm 18, from Cleveland of Ohio.  Lamest wasteland on earth.  I'm a high schooler, though I'm taking classes at a liberal arts college in the area.  I play violin for a nameless folk ensemble, and sing vocals.  I have huge aspirations, namely to become a published author, but if not, I'm happy enough to fill my little black poetry book with new words.  Even though I'm of the younger generation, The Doors were always there, thanks to good old Dad.  I've even spread the good word to others in my high school.  Music isn't all about a time.  It's about making a connection, and that's what The Doors do for me.

Hello (everyone) I love you.

Signing in from Santa Fe!  I am new as a "member", but have been visting The Door site for years.  I have been enjoying thier music for 25 to 30 years now.  Saw D21C twice and looking forward to seeing RotS!

What a diverse collection of people we have here!!!  From all over this earth.  I hope The Doors are proud and don't forget to love and respect John Densmore, I see a little bit of bashing from time to time.

It's great to feel this connection (The Doors) we all have in common.  Thier music has much meaning to me - like no other.
