Hi
my name is Alex and I have liked the Doors fan for a while now.....
I am not a one for places like this as I am rather shy, reserved and quiet and rarely express my opinion but hopefully if people are not too severe here I might dip my toe in the water from time to time and join the odd thread.... unsure.gif

Hi my name is Dan. I'm 30 and the Doors are obviously awesome. Jim Morrison is one of my main icons whose inspried me to be a musician (frontman). My favorite Doors song is "You're Lost Little Girl". I also think/know Jim Morrison was a Life 9 Enlightened Buddha. I also think Ray Manzarek is the greatest rock keyboardist ever. And Kreiger's flamencosish guitar and Densmore's jazzy drums give the Doors a great swing. Well thanks Doors for the music.

Hi all, my name is Dell, I'm 18 and I'm from Colorado. I hate to admit this but I've only recently been a Doors fan. I first heard The Doors at a Job Corps in Montana about 1 year ago and ever since I've been hooked.  biggrin.gif

Hi All

I live in Brisbane Australia and became enamoured of the Doors approx 13yrs ago when my soulmate had a fascination with jim and his fav song was "Roadhouse Blues:, my man died 10 years ago and it wasn't until I started reading the many books about Jim that I realised that they had many shared qualities - dangerous but charming, very good-looking, no-one ever forgot even the briefest meeting with them thats how charasmatic they were, they both drank until oblivion but could still charm the pants off any female within range - (that drove me nuts) -  they were wild spirited and free but could sit down and discuss idealogy and philosophy for hours. It was very intriguing to me how the two men were so similar so I became more interested and started collecting books, dvds and albums of the Doors.
I've been reading this message board as a guest for many months and have enjoyed the lively debates but not the negativity. I congratulate the Doors for taking a stand and helping others understand what this forum is all about. Sharing our love, hopes and dreams of Jim and The Doors. I look forward to contributing in the future when work allows.

Hey gang,

jschnell73 - A new member with a question.

I live in Melbourne, Florida. The birthplace of Jim Morrison. I have been looking all over for the address in Melbourne which would be his actual birthplace home.

I contacted local historical societies and believe it or not, they don't know.

So, I thought I would try you guys.

Thanks to anyone with the right information. My plan is to then mapquest it, get a picture of the house if it still exists and post it for the world to see.

Funny how his burial place is such a shrine, yet his birthplace is so obscure.
